Colectiva Solidaridad is a collection of community organizers who seek to connect, learn and activate with, for and from our fellow communities in Puerto Rico.

Each of our team members are experienced advocates, activists, and mutual aid workers throughout their local areas and beyond. By combining our skill sets and talents we have created an organization that seeks to serve those living in the archipelago.

The idea started one night when we all gathered to support each other. One of our organizers — from Caguas, Puerto Rico — spoke on the state of mutual aid and the greater need for support there. The response was immediate. We began working to take collective action to provide support for the mutual aid organizations that already exist there. We act in solidarity with the people in PR and for us, solidarity is actionable, as it should be for everyone. 

As we have grown and our team has expanded to Puerto Rico, New York and Washington, D.C., we have broadened our approach to community care. Through several means, we share educational materials about Puerto Rico’s history and current issues, to amplify Boricua voices and tell the story how it is. We seek to support our comrades fighting for Puerto Rican liberation, both in the archipelago and in the diaspora.
